Gloria is the G in A Slice of G. She was my favorite person on the planet. She had one way of moving through the world: make sure everybody is happy, make sure everybody is fed, and I knew that no problem was too big when I sat at her table. She passed me her recipe and the belief that comes with it. Baking for people is how I keep doing what she loved. Every cake is her. Every slice is for you.
